The Middle River & Area Historical Society is a volunteer organization formed to preserve and commemorate the history of Middle River. The Society gathers information on the history of the communities of Middle River & Nyanza and provides assistance to anyone seeking information about their Middle River ancestors.

Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 1:30 p.m at the Middle River Fire Hall. (Except July, August and December).
